WHAT IS THE NODE-RED?

Node-RED is a visual programming interface. It has been produced specifically for the Internet of Things concept. It requires almost no or little coding experience and makes it easy to connect physical things to the cloud. This emerging technology from IBM brings humanity one step closer to hacking the world according to our needs; to provide tools to make this process much less burdensome. The Internet of Things is currently in the early stages of its large-scale implementation. With more developers and even those with less coding expertise, Node-RED can contribute to the growth of this space.

Node-RED is an event management and handling tool. Based on Node.js, the Node-RED application typically runs as a web server, and users can customize and manipulate interconnections between various hardware and create functional streams from any computer's browser. No expensive or memory-hogging software, it's simple and runs in your web browser itself. This server application also has the ability to run on devices such as Raspberry Pi.

All this functionality of Node-RED means you no longer need to enter all of the code (at least most of the time) and work with code already found. Node-RED's user interface looks so simple and self-explanatory that you will have almost no trouble developing your IoT project with it. Node-RED streams on GitHub are actually represented in JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) and can be easily exported to the clipboard or exported to Node-RED or shared online.

While it's not a complete replacement for Node-RED, you do have to code completely, but this reduces it significantly. The best part in this process is that developers can now concentrate more on building great apps instead of writing the same old code over and over, which kills creativity.

The fact that Node-RED is open source makes complex tasks simpler and turns into drag and drop as more and more nodes are added that will add developers back to the community. This is one such ecosystem that can spread to many other areas on which newer vehicles are built. If you want to work on an IoT related project, check out the capabilities of the team behind Node-RED without fail.
